Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a senior M&P Engineer to support the Lunar Permanence program. You will work across design, analysis, materials selection, process development, and contamination control to ensure aerospace-grade performance for space vehicles.

The role requires applying NASA contamination standards, managing data, and coordinating cross-functional teams at the Lunar organization and supplier sites. Travel to test and development sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (Aero, Material, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical).
• 6+ years of M&P engineering experience on production flight or space programs.
• In-depth knowledge of NASA contamination requirements and standards.
• Experience reviewing materials and manufacturing processes for aerospace use.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad support for aerospace materials and processes (aluminum, steel, inconel, copper, bronze, soft goods).
• Lead design support, material selection, process development, and M&P qualification for space vehicles.
• Coordinate contamination control design, verification, and documentation across vehicle systems.
• Lead characterization and qualification efforts for contamination control solutions.
• Review production drawings for large assemblies and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Authorize M&P sign-offs for parts and assemblies and manage internal/external collaboration.
