Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida, is seeking an engineer to develop and integrate spacecraft thermal control systems for the Blue Moon Crew Lander as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) effort. You will work within a fast-paced, collaborative team focused on safety and repeatable space flight.

You will lead Active Thermal Control design, build, integration, testing, and verification, ensuring full qualification before vehicle assembly and working closely with NASA and program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
  • Minimum 3 years of thermal or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Strong 3D CAD design and hardware integration capabilities.
  • Experience with aerospace hardware verification/validation processes.
  • Familiarity with Active Thermal Control components (fittings, tubing, heat exchangers, valves).
  • Experience with Creo CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing and production support for your hardware.
  • Provide technical guidance for integration.
  • Apply practical approaches to hardware fabrication and cost impacts.
  • Create test plans, specifications, and other documentation for the development of flight hardware.
  • Plan, coordinate, conduct tests, and review test data.
  • Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget and technical status.
