Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a system-level analyst to contribute to spacecraft thermal control development, including transient analyses with Thermal Desktop and collaboration across engineering teams to ensure reliable temperature control of electronics and assemblies.

Responsibilities include building models, anchoring predictions to test data, and documenting results, with emphasis on leadership, technical excellence, and a focus on mission safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 8 years relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience with Thermal Desktop.
• Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals.
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills.
• Familiarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint, including model validation and test correlation.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level thermal analysis models of spacecraft at varying levels of maturity and detail with minimal supervision.
• Anchor thermal predictions to test data.
• Communicate and collaborate clearly and effectively with multiple teams both as a customer and provider of fluid and thermal data.
• Documenting your work for future reference and later refinement.
• Advocating for methods that will improve component and analysis performance and reliability.
