Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Denver, CO is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to develop and integrate active thermal control systems for the Blue Moon lander as part of the HLS Crew Lander Thermal Systems Engineering Vehicle Team. You will design, test, and qualify fluid routing components and work across engineering disciplines to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a BS (MS preferred) in mechanical or aerospace engineering, hands-on hardware experience, and familiarity with CAD

Qualifications

  • BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 3 years of Thermal/Mechanical Engineering experience.
  • Strong 3D CAD design and integration skills.
  • Experience assembling and testing hardware.
  • Understanding of aerospace hardware verification/validation processes.
  • Familiarity with Active Thermal Control hardware components.
  • CAD experience; Creo preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware.
  • Provide technical guidance for integration.
  • Apply practical approaches to hardware fabrication and cost impacts.
  • Create test plans, specifications, and documentation for flight hardware development.
  • Plan, coordinate, conduct tests, and review test data.
  • Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget and technical status.
