Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Thermal Engineer to lead active thermal control work for the MK1 Lunar Lander. You will design module and vehicle-level thermal components, develop test plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mature designs for flight operations.

The role requires strong CAD skills (Creo), a solid background in thermal/fluids, and experience in hardware verification/validation in aerospace environments.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant thermal engineering experience.
• Expertise in thermal and fluid design fundamentals.
• Experience building and testing thermal hardware.
• CAD software experience; Creo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop module and vehicle-level active thermal components and assemblies from conception through development and flight operations.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline product teams to mature designs and with the thermal analysis group.
• Produce component specs, test plans, execution reports, and test reports.
• Analyze thermal performance using hand calculations and Thermal Desktop models.
