Blue Origin is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the In‑Space Systems SSE team in Denver. You will work with leads to define requirements, CONOPs, and architecture, decomposing high‑level goals into actionable designs for spacecraft subsystems.

You will drive verification plans, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and help ensure mission success. The role emphasizes rigorous systems engineering practices, with opportunities to contribute to design standards, test strategies, and risk

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 3+ years of systems engineering experience in space industry preferred.
• Experience across multiple system lifecycle phases and spaceflight environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship or equivalent for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Systems Engineer to ensure conformance to design standards and best practices.
• Define and analyze requirements, CONOPs, interfaces, and architecture.
• Decompose high‑level requirements into system architecture and function blocks.
• Coordinate with subsystems to align verification/validation plans with mission objectives.
• Develop and oversee test plans, procedures, and results reporting.
• Work with cross‑functional teams (I&T, ground systems, flight operations) to deliver holistic solutions.
• Identify and manage technical, schedule, and cost risks.
• Assist flight software team to map development to L3/L4 requirements.
