Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring for a Mission Systems Software Engineer within the In-Space Systems unit. You will help define system-level software requirements and interfaces, collaborating with flight, ground, hardware, and software teams to enable new spacecraft products.

The role demands a strong background in space systems software development, testing, and integration, with emphasis on interfaces, test plans, and lifecycle execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Aerospace/CS/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of space systems software development, testing, and execution.
• Knowledge of space mission operations and satellite systems.
• Experience in aerospace software development and testing.
• Exposure to spacecraft flight software, command & control, and space-ground interface testing.

Responsibilities

• Define multiple candidate architectures for software interfaces for a growing spacecraft product line.
• Collaborate with flight and ground software teams to define, develop, and integrate software systems.
• Develop hardware-to-software interface definitions and drive lifecycle execution.
• Design and implement mission software test plans and procedures for space missions.
• Lead troubleshooting and improve testing methodologies across the program.
• Advance testing approaches to enhance efficiency and quality.
