Job summary

Varda Space Industries, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II for the Flight Software team. You will determine how our spacecraft behaves in orbit and build reliable software to support requirements, testing, and flight operations.

You will write bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based code in C++, own all development stages, and perform design trades for open-ended problems. On-site in El Segundo, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in spacecraft or safety-critical software.
• Experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems.
• Proficient in C++ with solid language fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable firmware to control spacecraft operations from design to test.
• Own all aspects of software development: design, testing, integration.
• Scope projects with requirements capture and design trades for open-ended problems.
• Write structured bare metal, RTOS, or Linux-based embedded software in C++.
• Build highly reliable software systems.
• Ensure quality through software test, verification, and validation.
