Job summary

RTX's Mission Engineering Directorate seeks a senior engineer to join the Cross-Domain and Space Operations Solutions team in El Segundo, CA. You will model space systems, analyze requirements, and develop data-driven simulations to support mission studies across multiple domains.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, proficiency in MATLAB or Python, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with simulation and analysis of space vehicles and satellite constellations.
• Experience with multi-domain mission analysis, scenario modeling, and visualization.
• Proficient in MATLAB or Python.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate end-to-end system requirements from CONOPS and DRMs.
• Model satellites, constellations, and system-of-systems architectures.
• Support mission data processing algorithm design to improve detection and tracking.
• Develop model-based solutions for mission trade studies and simulations.
• Apply performance engineering practices across computational problems.
• Analyze data to define performance needs for space/missile integration.
• Develop metrics to validate architectures against system requirements.
• Create algorithms for next-gen performance across space and missile systems.
