Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking engineers for a mission modeling and simulation role focused on space systems and missile integration. The team develops tools and methods across space and defense domains to evaluate concept of operations and performance.

This onsite position emphasizes analysis, modeling, and algorithm development. Candidates should have STEM degrees, experience with space vehicles and MATLAB/Python, and a transferable Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• Experience with simulation and analysis of space vehicles and satellite constellations.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate end-to-end system requirements through CONOPS and DRM to understand space and missile interface data connectivity.
• Provide modeling and simulation of satellites, constellations and system-of-systems architectures.
• Support design and integration of mission data processing algorithms to improve detection, tracking and data fusion.
• Develop and implement model-based solutions for mission trade studies and performance simulations.
• Contribute knowledge of performance engineering practices to evaluate computational problems across domains.
• Analyze data to understand performance requirements for integration of space and missile systems.
• Develop metrics to validate architectures against missile and space system requirements.
• Develop and implement algorithms for next-generation system-wide performance.
