Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced engineer for an onsite role in El Segundo, CA, focusing on mission engineering, modeling, and simulation of space systems and constellations. You will join a team that designs and analyzes space and missile capabilities, using state-of-the-art tools and methodologies.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, with expertise in orbital dynamics, system modeling, and data processing.

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
Experience with space vehicle analysis, orbital dynamics, constellations, and link budgets.
Proficient with MATLAB or Python; familiarity with mission analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Evaluate end-to-end system requirements and interfaces for space/missile systems.
Model satellites, constellations, and system-of-systems architectures.
Develop mission data processing algorithms to improve detection and data fusion.
Create model-based solutions for trade studies and performance simulations.
Apply performance engineering methods across multiple domains.
Analyze data to derive performance requirements for space/missile integration.
Develop metrics to validate architectures against system requirements.
