Job summary

RTX is seeking engineers in El Segundo, CA, to join the Integrated Solutions, Modeling, and Architecture (ISMA) Directorate. You will evaluate requirements, model space systems, and implement data processing algorithms for mission simulations, with emphasis on system-of-systems integration across space and missile domains.

The role requires a STEM degree, 2+ years experience, and active DoD clearance (Top Secret/TS) or TS/SCI; proficiency in STK, MATLAB/Python, and C++/Java is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant space systems experience.
• Experience in simulation/analysis of space vehicles and satellite constellations.
• Proficiency with STK or multi-domain mission analysis tools.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python; Java/C++ or equivalent.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required (Top Secret / TS/SCI).
• Experience with orbital dynamics and link-budget analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate end-to-end system requirements via CONOPS/DRMs for space/missile interfaces.
• Model and simulate satellites, constellations, and system-of-systems architectures.
• Develop mission data processing algorithms for detection, tracking, fusion.
• Create model-based solutions for mission trade studies and performance simulations.
• Contribute to performance engineering practices across domains.
• Analyze data to derive performance requirements for space/missile integration.
• Develop algorithms for next-gen performance across space/missile systems.
