Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement efficient manufacturing systems within Operations, focusing on quality control and cost optimization for production. You will contribute to DFx (DFM/ DFA/ DFT), document processes, and support tooling and fixture development to enable scalable space vehicle production.

The role requires a BS with 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, U.S. citizenship or equivalent, and the ability to work second shift.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering.
• 3+ years creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizen/permanent resident or approved visa status.
• Ability to work second shift and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization of new products in solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
• Translate requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate build timelines.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs: work instructions, flow diagrams, tooling, inspection plans.
• Lead process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validate new lines and equipment.
