Job summary

Blue Origin is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to lead design and implementation of scalable production processes for space hardware. You will drive DFx practices, support quality standards, and collaborate across engineering, quality, and supply chain to improve timelines and reduce costs.

The role requires hands-on experience with manufacturing technologies, process documentation, and willingness to travel. Onsite in TX with potential for a temporary remote work exception.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with relevance to manufacturing and aerospace.
• Solid foundation in mechanical design and manufacturing fundamentals.
• Experience applying GD&T and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize new products and processes for aerospace manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain DFx controls, including DFm/DFa/DFt.
• Translate requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing steps.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, and inspection plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for issues.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Support process FMEAs, risk assessments, and line validations.
• Identify efficiency gains and cost-reduction opportunities.
