Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Electrical Power Engineer to advance the TeraWave power subsystems for a multi-orbit satellite network. You will architect, analyze, and verify flight-qualified power electronics hardware meeting stringent mass, reliability, and environmental requirements.

You will lead verification analyses and contribute to hardware bring-up, qualification, and production testing, coordinating with mechanical, thermal, RF, and systems teams in a fast-paced space startup

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical power electronics design.
• Experience with space hardware or aerospace applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and qualification of isolated DC-DC power systems up to 1 kW in 120 VDC range.
• Develop sub-1V high-current POL converters with tight regulation tolerances for digital payloads.
• Develop power system architectures including filtering, sequencing, protection and distribution networks for satellite use.
• Perform comprehensive analyses (WCA, derating, stability, thermal, transient, reliability, DFMEA, EMI/EMC).
