Blue Origin is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Power Engineer to design, analyze and verify power subsystems for satellite payloads. You will develop flight-qualified power electronics hardware and work with a cross-functional team to meet stringent performance, mass, and environmental needs.

Qualificações

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power electronics design.
• Experience designing isolated DC-DC converters at 1 kW/120 VDC or higher.
• Experience designing sub-1V POL converters for high-performance digital systems.
• Direct experience with satellite or space hardware power electronics.
• Ability to perform WCA, derating, stability, power dissipation, transient, reliability analyses, DFMEA, DFT, DFM, and EMI/C.
• Familiarity with SPICE-based tools and space standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, and qualification of isolated DC-DC power systems up to 1 kW at 120 VDC.
• Design and characterize sub-1V POL converters for FPGAs and high-speed electronics.
• Develop power system architectures including filtering, sequencing, and fault protection.
• Execute full design verification analyses: WCA, derating, stability, power dissipation, transient, reliability, DFMEA, DFT, DFM, EMI/EMC.
• Support PCB layout reviews and power plane management.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, systems, optics, and RF teams for integration.
• Develop hardware bring-up, qualification, and production test plans.
• Lead design reviews and present results to stakeholders.
• Maintain compliance with Blue Origin standards and space industry requirements.
