Job summary

Blue Origin in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for RF payloads on the TeraWave program. You will lead hardware development across multi-layer PCBs, RF delivery, and high-power systems, interfacing with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet program goals.

The role emphasizes mentorship of junior engineers, RF and payload architecture studies, and hands-on lab bring-up and testing of RF payload boards in a fast-paced space tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in complex hardware product development.
• Experience with high-speed mixed-signal PCB layout.
• Experience using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and high-speed oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-layer, high-density interconnect PCB designs with RF isolation.
• Design power systems including DC-DC converters and PMICs.
• Lead simulations to minimize noise, crosstalk, and EMI across payload systems.
• Lead architecture trade studies to define RF payload hardware approaches.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and coordinate with suppliers.
