Job summary

The City of New York’s Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) is seeking a Facilities Space Analyst-Fellow to support space planning and occupancy management for agency facilities. The role involves preparing drawings in AutoCAD, reviewing space needs, and forecasting future occupancy requirements.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree in city planning or a related field, proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and AutoCAD, and strong analytical and collaborative skills.

• Experience with occupancy planning and space management.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drawings and layouts using AutoCAD for agency space projects.
• Assist with occupancy planning and space management analysis.
• Review space needs by site visits and surveys to position staff and furniture.
• Forecast current and future space needs through data analysis.
• Create and update AutoCAD as-built drawings and furniture layouts.
