Job summary

The Division of FMC at City of New York seeks an Administrative Space Analyst to join as Director of Workplace Services. You will oversee architects and engineers delivering design services for agency needs, including renovations and furniture/technology upgrades.

The role requires extensive knowledge of space planning, budgeting, leasing, and project management, with preference for NCIDQ/LEED. You will guide strategic space planning for DEP portfolio and report to the FMC/Real Estate Executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience with supervisory duties.
• Alternate qualification requires high school diploma with extensive experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Experience with space programming and adherence to DCAS Space Standards and leasing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and guide architectural staff in programming agency needs per DCAS Space Standards.
• Oversee evaluation of Service Requests requiring design input.
• Review and develop preliminary plans and construction documents for programming goals.
• Oversee procurement of furniture and office equipment for renovations.
• Assist in strategic space planning of the DEP portfolio.
• Coordinate with client bureaus and Budget/Purchasing Units on schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with Construction Services and the asbestos lead and mold remediation task force for safe project execution.
