Job summary

Western States Lodging and Management operates Elevate Wellness, seeking a Spa Manager to lead daily spa operations, coach therapists, and ensure service excellence within a hospitality environment.

You will develop schedules, manage inventories, monitor revenue and expenses, and collaborate with hotel leadership on marketing and packages to grow spa business while maintaining upscale guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Valid Utah Massage Therapist License required.
• 2-5 years of spa, resort, wellness, or related hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous spa leadership, supervisory, or operational experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coach associates and maintain high standards of performance and professionalism.
• Strong understanding of luxury or upscale guest service principles.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, and vendor coordination.
• Understanding of budgets, labor management, revenue performance, and cost controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn spa scheduling or property systems.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily spa operations with a focus on guest satisfaction, service quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Lead, coach, train, and support massage therapists and estheticians in delivering consistent service standards.
• Develop effective schedules based on appointments, hotel occupancy, seasonal demand, and staffing availability.
• Recruit, onboard, train, evaluate, and retain high-performing spa professionals.
• Monitor guest feedback and resolve service concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain high standards for treatment rooms, guest areas, equipment, sanitation, presentation, and overall spa atmosphere.
• Manage product, linen, equipment, and operating supply inventories while controlling waste and unnecessary expenses.
• Coordinate purchasing and maintain productive vendor relationships.
• Monitor spa revenue, expenses, labor, service utilization, and other performance measures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for spa operations.
• Develop promotions, packages, and marketing initiatives that support guest engagement and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership and sales teams to identify opportunities for packages, groups, events, and other spa business.
• Review service offerings and recommend enhancements based on guest demand and industry trends.
• Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, sanitation, health, safety, and employment requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance needs to keep spa facilities and equipment operating safely and effectively.
• Provide massage services as needed and be capable of performing at least four massage hours per day/shift.
