Job summary

Roadhouse Cinemas Scottsdale is seeking a Sous Chef to lead plating, cooking and presentation using established recipes; overseeing kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.

The role requires strong leadership, menu planning, and food-safety discipline to maintain high quality and consistency across all service periods. Experience on a brigade-style line and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in varied kitchen positions or 1-2+ years at Roadhouse Cinemas.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Ability to work on a brigade-style line.
• Basic computer skills with Word and Excel.
• Strong leadership, organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate culinary activities to ensure consistency with recipes, portions, cooking and serving standards.
• Attend bi-annual team meetings to devise marketing plans and review menus and pricing.
• Order food products per specifications and ensure correct unit count and condition.
• Control food cost and usage by estimating consumption and requisitioning purchases.
• Establish presentation techniques and manage execution.
• Train, coach and supervise kitchen staff and maintain safety standards.
• Provide input to policies and procedures and communicate updates to staff.
• Attend weekly Head Chef meetings and ensure proper kitchen operations.
