Job summary

The Block in St. Louis Park, MN is hiring a Full-Time Sous Chef to join our culinary team. You will work closely with the Chef to lead the BOH staff, uphold food quality, and ensure smooth service in a fast-paced setting.

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000-$65,000 based on experience, plus benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, paid meals, and employee discounts. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

• Strong culinary skills and leadership experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to coach, train, and develop BOH team members.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment and maintaining standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen execution during shifts and maintain quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Coach, train, and develop BOH team members.
• Assist with prep, inventory, food cost, and waste control; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Partner with FOH leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Support ordering and product organization; help maintain a positive, accountable kitchen culture.
