Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a talented Sous Chef for our Alexandria location. You’ll manage the line in an upscale, food-focused environment with 2+ years of experience, and a passion for quality, community engagement, and guest experience.

In this role you’ll oversee service and food quality, help set standards, support budgeting and labor planning, and lead a positive team culture as an ambassador for Indigo Road.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ of restaurant management experience.
• Thrive in high-volume, scratch kitchen environments.
• Passionate about Internal Hospitality and core values.
• Strong problem resolution skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities for important conversations.

Responsibilities

• Set the tone for guest experience by leading a positive team environment.
• Oversee, maintain and manage food and service quality.
• Assess and implement standards for consistency in procedures.
• Assist with annual budgeting, scheduling expenditures, and variances.
• Develop strategic objectives spanning recruitment, finance, and operations.
• Forecast labor and cost trends; partner with GM to lead by example.
