Newport Restaurant Group in Wellesley, MA is seeking a Sous Chef to join our passionate culinary team and to work with the Executive Chef to oversee and lead daily kitchen operations.

This position requires a strong cooking passion, management and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in a full-service environment. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must have flexible schedule for days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a full-service establishment.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of kitchen operations and coordination of all kitchen activities including private dining.
• Monitor prep production and quality checks of mise en place prior to service.
• Ensure a quality guest experience through oversight of staff preparing and cooking food.
• Develop BOH employees and kitchen supervisory positions.
• Assist with inventory and purchasing/storage.
• Produce daily specials.

About the Position

The Sous Chef will be part of a passionate culinary team and will work with the Executive Chef to oversee and lead the daily operations.

You have a passion for cooking, ingredients, and technique. This position is perfect for a motivated individual with management and interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties

• Daily management of kitchen operations and coordination of all kitchen activities including private dining
