Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Radford, VA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the Managing Partner, lead daily operations, train staff, and uphold Sonic standards while preparing for future leadership roles.

You will help manage scheduling, inventory, food safety, guest concerns, and financial performance, with a clear path to Managing Partner and above-store opportunities. Strong benefits and a restaurant performance bonus are included.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Assistant General Manager experience in food service or retail with profit & loss responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close the restaurant at least 2 nights per week.
• Ability to work in an active restaurant environment, including standing, walking, lifting, moving through compact spaces, and safely using restaurant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee daily operations while upholding SONIC standards and policies.
• Support the Managing Partner by leading training, scheduling, and team performance.
• Manage inventory, food safety compliance, and guest concerns.
• Support financial performance through cash handling and expense control.
• Partner with the Managing Partner on growth initiatives and protecting the SONIC brand.
