Job summary

RedTech Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its rapidly growing AI software company. You will be the go-to expert for a product area within the post-sales technical team, owning hands-on troubleshooting, API integrations, and customer-facing problem-solving.

The role is based in New York, NY, on-site 4-5 days per week with up to 20% travel. Salary ranges from $135,000 to $190,000 per year, plus competitive equity and benefits. No variable bonus component.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering or similar customer-facing technical role
• Experience in a startup, supporting customers across complex software products
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical subject
• Strong experience troubleshooting API integrations and data exchanges
• Proven ability to own escalations through to resolution
• Experience becoming a trusted technical expert across a complex platform
• Comfort navigating codebases and working with engineering teams for fixes
• Excellent communication skills explaining technical issues to non-tech customers
• Autonomous in a fast-moving environment with evolving processes
• B2B SaaS familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce
• Backgrounds in startup Technical Account Manager or similar roles with hands-on post-sales ownership

This role offers substantial ownership, combining hands-on technical troubleshooting, API integrations and customer-facing problem-solving.

Location: New York, NY, on-site 4-5 days per week. Willingness to travel up to 20% for client visits as required.

Salary: $135,000-$190,000 base salary per annum + competitive equity + benefits. No variable bonus component.

Requirements for Solutions Engineer - Product Expert:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role, with strong hands-on ownership after customers have gone live
• Experience working within a startup, supporting customers across complex software products
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical subject
• Strong experience troubleshooting API integrations, investigating customer data and understanding how systems exchange information
• Proven ability to independently investigate and resolve technical customer issues, taking ownership of escalations through to resolution
• Experience becoming a trusted technical expert across a complex platform, with the ability to quickly learn additional products and functionality
• Comfortable navigating codebases and working with engineering teams to identify when a software fix is required
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers and colleagues
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment where processes are still evolving
• Experience in B2B SaaS and familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce would be beneficial
• Relevant backgrounds could include a startup Technical Account Manager or another technical product role, provided you can demonstrate substantial hands‑on post‑sales customer ownership
