Job summary

SmartBear, headquartered in Somerville, MA, seeks a Solutions Engineer I to serve as a trusted technical advisor to partners and customers, and to lead technical discovery conversations. You will deliver tailored product demonstrations, design proofs of concept, support RFIs/RFPs, and collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to map solutions to customer needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with UI and API test automation.
• Hands-on with Selenium or Playwright.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Git-based development.
• Ability to design and explain API concepts and use cases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and networking basics.
• Experience supporting pre-sales engagements and RFIs/RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to partners, prospects, and customers.
• Lead technical discovery conversations to understand requirements.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Design and guide proofs of concept (POCs) and technical validations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to map solutions to customer needs.
• Support partner enablement through training and technical resources.
• Communicate product feedback and field insights to internal teams.
