Job summary

Subtext is seeking a Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of the sales process, building demo environments and owning the API/webhooks narrative. This IC role reports into the VP of Sales and is remote-based.

The base salary ranges from $120,000 to $130,000 per year, with incentives bringing total compensation to $145,000 to $155,000. A bachelor\'s degree in a related field and at least 2 years in pre-sales at a B2B SaaS company are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, marketing technology or a related field preferred; or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom demo environments tailored to prospect use cases.
• Own the technical narrative for API/webhook integration in deals.
• Be the go-to pre-sales technical owner when a deal is technical.
• Provide structured feedback to Product from prospect conversations.
• Translate learnings to sales after product-shaping conversations.
