Job summary

The Intersect Group seeks a Solutions Engineer to act as a technical partner to a high-performing sales team in Fort Wayne, translating client business and technical needs into practical, scalable solutions that align with standards and best practices.

The role involves discovery sessions, technical recommendations, SOW/BOM creation, and ensuring solutions are ready for production deployment in collaboration with engineering, delivery, and operations teams.

Qualifications

7+ years hands-on IT infrastructure, systems engineering, networking, cloud or security.
Experience leading presales solution design, technical consulting, scoping, or client-facing engagements.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, infrastructure, hardware solutions, and data center technologies.
Experience in producing technical documentation, Statements of Work and Bills of Materials.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales to evaluate client environments and design tailored technology solutions.
Lead discovery sessions and requirements gathering with clients.
Design and document solution architectures aligned with client needs.
Develop Statements of Work, Bills of Material, project scopes, and technical docs.
