Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Solutions Engineer to partner with account teams, assess customer environments, and design tailored infrastructure solutions across Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Services portfolios.

This role blends deep technical expertise with customer engagement to drive solution adoption in the NJ territory. You will work with internal teams, OEM partners, and customers to deliver guidance, support sales efforts, and help translate technical features into

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
3–5 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, pre-sales, or similar technical role.
Relevant certifications in infrastructure, cloud, or vendor technologies preferred.
Willingness to travel to customer, partner, and company events as needed.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with account teams to evaluate customer data center environments and understand current infrastructure and technology needs.
Design and recommend infrastructure solutions that align with customer requirements, budgets, and business objectives.
Support the development of solution proposals, including technical documentation and configurations.
Build and maintain working relationships with OEMs and technology partners to stay current on product updates and capabilities.
Provide technical support and product training to sales teams and customers to enhance solution understanding and positioning.
Partner with Field Account Executives to support customer engagements and act as a technical resource throughout the sales cycle.
Assist in managing the solutions pipeline by supporting opportunity identification, qualification, and solution alignment.
Identify opportunities across Data Center, Cloud, Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Services offerings.
Participate in customer meetings to present solutions and respond to technical questions.
Contribute to the development of technical selling skills within the sales organization through training and knowledge sharing.
