Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Bowling Green team. You will own the complete design lifecycle from concept through production release, creating detailed 3D models and shop drawings in SolidWorks with a strong manufacturing focus.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing, proficiency with SolidWorks and ERP systems, and the ability to drive designs across cross-functional teams to meet real-world customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related).
• Approximately 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on, collaborative mindset across teams.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, ERP systems, and standard measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design lifecycle—from concept through production release.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design with manufacturing in mind (sheet metal, CNC, fabrication).
• Build BOMs and maintain part numbers across assemblies.
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to realize customer-driven designs.
• Support production and field teams with design updates and troubleshooting.
• Run simulations, calculations, and failure analyses for reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement through ECNs and process changes.
