Job summary
Manufacturing is seeking a Design Engineer to drive product development from concept to production. This hands-on role emphasizes 3D CAD design, prototyping, testing, and systems integration to support manufacturing.
The ideal candidate has SolidWorks expertise and a background in mechanical design for welded structures, piping, sheet metal, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, plus experience with continuous improvement and tooling design.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1+ years experience mechanical design within manufacturing.
- Experience with 3D modeling software via SolidWorks and 2D drafting software.
- Understand PLCs, Electrical and Controls systems.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience writing, reviewing, or approving engineering documents.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical details internally and with customers.
Responsibilities
- Take products from concept through production.
- Focus on 3D CAD design, detailed drawings, prototyping and testing.
- Systems integration and manufacturing support.
- Support continuous improvement, troubleshooting and tooling/fixture design.
- Assist with facility or manufacturing projects as needed.
