Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Bowling Green, KY, on-site, to own the full design lifecycle from concept to production release. You will create 3D models and shop drawings in SolidWorks, focusing on manufacturability for sheet metal and fabrication.

Expect active collaboration with sales and manufacturing to deliver customer-driven solutions. The role requires 5+ years in a manufacturing setting, a mechanical engineering degree, and hands-on problem-solving across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on, collaborative mindset—you enjoy working across teams to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Own the full design lifecycle—from concept through production release
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings using SolidWorks
• Design with real manufacturing capabilities in mind (sheet metal, CNC, fabrication)
• Build clean, accurate BOMs and maintain part numbers across assemblies
• Partner closely with sales and product teams to bring customer-driven designs to life
• Support production, manufacturing, and field teams with design updates and troubleshooting
• Run simulations, calculations, and failure analysis to ensure reliability
• Drive continuous improvement through design changes, ECNs, and process enhancements
