LeoForce is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Bowling Green team. You will own the complete design lifecycle from concept through production release, creating detailed 3D models and shop drawings in SolidWorks with a strong manufacturing focus.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing, proficiency with SolidWorks and ERP systems, and the ability to drive designs across cross-functional teams to meet real-world customer needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related).
Approximately 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on, collaborative mindset across teams.
Proficiency with SolidWorks, ERP systems, and standard measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

Own the full design lifecycle—from concept through production release.
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
Design with manufacturing in mind (sheet metal, CNC, fabrication).
Build BOMs and maintain part numbers across assemblies.
Collaborate with sales and product teams to realize customer-driven designs.
Support production and field teams with design updates and troubleshooting.
Run simulations, calculations, and failure analyses for reliability.
Drive continuous improvement through ECNs and process changes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own the full design lifecycle—from concept through production release
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and shop drawings using SolidWorks
Design with real manufacturing capabilities in mind (sheet metal, CNC, fabrication)
Build clean, accurate BOMs and maintain part numbers across assemblies
Partner closely with sales and product teams to bring customer-driven designs to life
Support production, manufacturing, and field teams with design updates and troubleshooting
Run simulations, calculations, and failure analysis to ensure reliability
Drive continuous improvement through design changes, ECNs, and process enhancements

What You Bring

Strong experience with SolidWorks (or similar 3D parametric design tools)
Background designing for manufacturing—especially sheet metal and fabrication
Ability to manage projects from idea through release without handholding
Understanding of BOMs, ERP systems, and manufacturing workflows
Familiarity with AutoCAD and CNC‑related requirements is a plus
Knowledge of industry standards (UL, ADA, NSF) is helpful

Additional Details
