Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking a Solar Site Field Engineer for the Midwest portfolio. This on-site role supports active construction across multiple sites, with rotations and assignments to Altoona, Bellwood, Harrodsburg, and Spring Grove.

The job involves coordinating inspections, FAIs, RFIs, and documentation, while ensuring safety, design compliance, and timely project delivery. The position emphasizes field- and team-based execution, including drone operations and collaboration with engineers,

Qualifications

Experience creating reports and compiling data.
Experience working in a team setting.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline.
Experience operating drones or possessing an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) license.
Experience in Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management in Renewables or Oil & Energy.

Responsibilities

Coordinate inspections and facilitate discussions with AHJs.
Create and conduct FAIs to verify sites meet design specs.
Document and maintain drawings, including red-line sets.
Manage RFIs between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and owners.
Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams accountable to Scopes of Work.
Assist in preparing specifications and data sheets for pre-construction planning.
Maintain storm water documentation logs and remediation.
Proactively manage project constraints through collaboration with PM, engineering, and construction.
Operate drones to capture construction progress and issues.
