Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Solar Site Field Engineer to support the construction of utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure across the United States. This is a project-site based role with home trip rotations typically every 3–4 weeks, serving the Midwest portfolio including Altoona, KS and Bellwood, NE.

The role involves coordinating inspections with AHJs, reviewing submittals, managing RFIs, maintaining drawings, and operating drones to document progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• Experience operating drones or possessing a UAS license.
• Experience in Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management in Renewables or Oil & Energy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inspections with AHJs and local authorities.
• Create First Article Inspections (FAIs) to verify field construction aligns with design.
• Manage construction drawings and redlines.
• Handle RFIs between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and project owners.
• Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams to the scopes of work.
• Review material submittals.
• Assist in preparing specifications and data sheets.
• Maintain storm water documentation and remediation logs.
• Collaborate with project management to mitigate constraints.
• Operate drones to capture construction progress.
