Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc is seeking a Solar - Technician to assemble, install, or maintain PV systems on roofs or structures in line with site assessments and schematics.

This role requires measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting framing and modules, using hand and power tools, applying weather sealing, and ensuring code compliance. Candidates should have at least 2 years of solar installation experience; NCCER certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Solar Installer or equivalent combination of education and experience in a construction setting.
• Working knowledge of the Solar Photovoltaic construction craft and the assembly, installation, or maintenance of PV systems for ground or roof installation.
• Must have all necessary tools (see Solar Installer Tool List).

Responsibilities

• Lay-out, assemble and install solar modules, panels, or support structures, as specified in drawings or schematics.
• Apply weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms and ensure proper installation.
• Activate PV systems to verify system functionality and conformity to performance expectations.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
