Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a field professional to assist the Solar Technician in assembling, installing, and maintaining photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or structures in accordance with site assessments and schematics.

You will measure, cut, assemble, and bolt structural framing and solar modules while complying with safety policies and company procedures. The role involves working with hand and power tools and coordinating with other crafts to deliver quality PV installations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Experience as laborer or helper in construction and PV systems.
• Basic understanding of solar PV assembly, installation and maintenance.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist Solar Technician to assemble, install, or maintain PV systems on roofs or structures according to schematics.
• Use hand and power tools to install PV systems following codes and standards.
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules, panels, or supports as specified.
• Coordinate with other crafts and safety procedures on site.
• Participate in pre-job planning and safety discussions; report hazards.
