Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc. seeks a Solar - Technician to assemble, install, and maintain photovoltaic systems on roofs and structures, following site assessments and schematics.

You will lay out, assemble, and mount modules and supporting structures while applying weather sealing and verifying electrical configurations. Ideal candidates have 2+ years as a Solar Installer, knowledge of PV construction, and essential tools.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Solar Installer or in a construction setting.
• Working knowledge of PV system installation and related craft.
• Must have all required tools per Solar Installer Tool List.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass onboarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, or maintain PV systems on roofs or other structures per site assessments and schematics.
• Lay out, install, and secure solar modules and supporting structures as specified.
• Apply weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms and ensure proper electrical configuration.
• Identify deficiencies and resolve issues in PV system installation and materials.
• Maintain safety, participate in pre-job planning and incident reporting, and support site team.
