Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Cleveland, MS is seeking a Laborer Apprentice 2 (Solar) to support the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems on varied terrain, roofs, and structures, following site plans and safety rules.

You will assist with layout, assembly of mounting structures, PV panels, and related hardware, operate hand and power tools, and participate in safety programs to prevent injuries.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools and power tools to install PV systems according to drawings and instructions.
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules/panels support structures as specified.
• Install structural, mechanical, rack systems and PV panels.
• Lift, carry and manage building materials and clean work areas.
• Participate in safety programs and report hazards or incidents.
• Follow safety rules, perform pre-job planning and safety discussions.
• Learn to read plans and understand specifications.
• Assist journeymen in layout and project execution while learning onsite.
