Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Shadow Solar Technician Laborer Apprentice 2 to assemble, install, and maintain solar PV systems on varied terrain and structures. You will work under supervision, read schematics, prepare mounting structures, and support crews on solar installations.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and hands‑on skill growth with on‑site training across utility-scale solar projects.

Qualifications

• 6 months – 1 years’ experience or 1001 - 2000 hours working as a laborer or in any construction craft as a helper.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) where required.

Responsibilities

• Install PV systems in accordance with codes and drawings.
• Lay out, assemble and install modules and support structures.
• Install mounting and rack systems for PV panels.
• Follow safety rules and ensure a clean, safe work site.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
