Job summary

Wanzek Construction, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Solar PV Helper to assist the Solar Technician with assembling, installing, and maintaining PV systems on roofs and structures.

Responsibilities include reading plans, laying out modules, and coordinating with other crafts to ensure safe, code-compliant installations. The role emphasizes hands-on installation, adherence to safety practices, and participation in on-site training.

Qualifications

• Experience as laborer or helper in construction, basic knowledge of solar PV construction craft
• Ability to read and understand plans and specs; visualize 2D drawings in 3D
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Use hand tools and power tools to install PV systems per drawings and schematics
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules, panels or support structures
• Install structural, mechanical, rack system and PV panels
• Practice safety, keep work area clean and report accidents or hazards
• Participate in pre-job safety planning and site training
• Coordinate work with other crafts and crews on site
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
