Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Contractor - Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and monitor via SCADA, following strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities include inspecting AC/DC systems, reading schematics, and using CMMS for records. May lead tasks and mentor junior techs, with a pay range of $25–$45/hour in Hamilton, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M; licenses or certifications a plus.
• Competency in industrial/utility power operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficient reading electrical schematics; able to use SCADA and CMMS for maintenance tracking.
• Strong computer skills, especially SCADA and CMMS applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC/DC systems.
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA and assist in commissioning and tests.
• Follow safety protocols including JHA and LOTO; maintain site procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance activities as needed.
• Work with remote operators to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Assist with installation tasks involving torquing, calibration, and tools.
