Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Contractor - Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician in Hamilton, TX to maintain and repair utility-scale solar and energy storage systems. This role requires working within safety procedures and performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of plants.

You will inspect AC/DC systems, inverters, modules, transformers, and high-voltage components, using CMMS and SCADA, and you may train junior technicians, develop maintenance plans, and coordinate with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M; familiarity with SCADA and CMMS.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on AC/DC systems including inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear and HV components.
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and assist with commissioning, testing and modifications.
• Follow safety protocols including JHA and LOTO and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance; work with remote operators.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities in CMMS; train junior technicians as needed.
• Execute installation tasks with torquing, calibration and use of specialized tools.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting across OEM platforms and develop electrical work plans.
