Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our Newport, AR team. The role supports the Project Manager and project team in planning and daily execution of utility-scale solar projects, tracking submittals, and coordinating contract documents to avoid conflicts.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's in construction management or engineering, 6 months to 1 year of internship, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline.
• 6 months to one-year internship experience as a project engineer or assistant project engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong computer skills are a necessity and must interface with owners' reps, A/E team, and building departments.

Responsibilities

• Participates in pre-construction activities including document control, quantity takeoffs, site investigation, VE and constructability reviews.
• Coordinates project start-up, mobilization, subcontractor/vendor selections, and milestone surveillance.
• Expedites materials, manages submittal logs, and verifies fabrication status.
• Coordinates construction activities, QC inspections, safety compliance, and site meetings.
• Facilitates project administration including RFI, approvals, and project status reporting.
• Tracks project costs, manages change orders, and handles closeout activities.
