Job summary

Moss seeks a Solar Electrical Field Engineer to support administrative and technical management of large utility-scale solar projects. You will assist the Electrical Assistant and Project Manager with contract administration, submittals, procurement, and scheduling.

Ideal candidates have a relevant bachelor's degree, solid computer skills, strong communication, and willingness to travel across multiple states.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Six months to one-year Solar internship or related project engineering experience in construction.
  • Strong computer skills with construction project management applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with owners' representatives and teams.
  • Basic finance skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project start-up: review contracts, startup checklist, site utilization, mobilization, subcontracts, milestones, and scheduling.
  • Expedite materials: submittal log, fabrication and delivery schedules, delivery verification, and coordination drawings.
  • Coordinate construction activities with Superintendent and attend meetings to track progress.
  • Support project administration: manage agreements, insurance/bonds, minutes, RFIs, and Prolog.
  • Track project costs: process pay requests, monitor owner payments, and cost reporting.
  • Assist with change orders: scope changes, schedule impacts, pricing, and negotiations.
