Job summary

Moss is hiring a Solar Electrical Field Engineer to assist the Electrical Superintendent in managing large utility-scale solar projects. The role covers contract administration, submittals, procurement, scheduling, and field supervision across multiple states.

The candidate will coordinate with subcontractors, drive material expedites, and participate in project meetings. A four-year degree and solar internship or related experience are required, along with strong communication and basic finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
• Six months to one-year minimum Solar internship or full-time experience as a project engineer or assistant project engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong computer skills with familiarity to construction project management applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; interface with owners' representatives and A/E team.
• Basic finance skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project start-up activities and subcontractor/vender coordination.
• Expedite materials; manage submittal logs, fabrication and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate construction activities; participate in meetings and schedule updates.
• Support project administration; manage RFI process and project status reports.
• Track project costs; process pay requests and owner payments.
• Support change order process; develop cost proposals and negotiate costs.
