Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Superintendent to lead construction operations on utility-scale solar projects. The role requires deep geotechnical understanding, drilling method selection, and strong project management to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The position is located full-time on a jobsite in Texas with responsibility for coordinating crews, safety, schedules, and supplier coordination across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 4 years related experience.
• Union related experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Relevant experience in foundation drilling and construction project management may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Enforce and promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations, ensuring safety regulations and specs.
• Lead solar construction crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret geotechnical data and optimize foundation designs.
• Develop construction schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans; monitor progress.
• Conduct site inspections to assess soil conditions and drilling progress.
• Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot equipment to ensure project execution.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders and management.
• Manage a crew to ensure work is on time, on budget, and meets standards.
• Lead foundation drilling projects from start to finish.
