Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Superintendent to lead construction operations for utility-scale solar projects at a Peoria, IL site. You will oversee planning, drilling activities, subcontractors, and safety programs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, geotechnical understanding, and experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a field environment. OSHA training and on-site supervision are essential components of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 4+ years of related experience or equivalent progression in the field.
• Proven ability to manage solar construction projects and crews.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and geotechnical data.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations ensuring safety and project specs.
• Lead crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret geotechnical data and drill methods.
• Develop construction schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Conduct site inspections for soil conditions, drilling progress, and quality control.
• Maintain equipment, order supplies, and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders and management.
