Job summary

Sunrun Field Performance Technicians manage and complete service and warranty work for residential solar systems. You will work independently or with the Performance O&M team, interacting with customers, Branch Manager, and central scheduling.

The role requires a High School diploma, 1–3 years solar experience, and NEC knowledge; valid driver's license and possibly Electrical Journeyman certification. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience.
• PV design or PV electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve solar warranty and service issues that arise with modules, inverters, monitoring and balance of system components.
• Investigate and mitigate reported roof leaks with thorough documentation: photos, observations.
• Communicate with Construction Supervisor and Engineering team to resolve redline issues.
• Receive, update and complete Field Service Dispatches (FSDs) with Service Dashboard in Salesforce.
• Ensure timely communication and completion of service and warranty work with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and refine processes and gain technical skills related to service work for residential solar PV systems.
